NOS solid-state relays address the need for reliable, rugged, and affordable control of various electrical equipment on your race car. Originally designed to control the high-current switching loads of nitrous solenoids, these relays can also be used to control other high-current devices—such as electric water pumps, trans-brakes, and line locks. NOS relays feature an ultra-low activation/release time of less than 16 microseconds to ensure no delays in reaction times. The solid-state relays can also be Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) with no minimum-duty cycle at frequencies up to 1000hz. MSD puts their years of experience to work in making these top-notch iron distributor gears. Their high grade, ductile iron is micro polished for a smooth and scuff-free finish then Melonite QPC coated to reduce friction and initial wear. Excessive clearance causes timing fluctuation throughout the rpm range, resulting in lost horsepower, so MSD also designed these oversized gears for tighter mesh between the camshaft and distributor drive gears.
