BMR bushings replace the entire OE bushing and are manufactured to strict tolerances for a perfect fit and increased performance. They will survive exposure to petroleum products, road salt, ozone, and other elements of the harsh undercar environment. Several kits include heavy-duty hardware; while not necessary for all customers, BMR supplies the upgraded hardware for those who have higher power levels or plan on launching hard on the street or at the dragstrip. Steeda has fielded numerous calls on the rear subframe being misaligned from the factory on the S550 Mustangs. Through hours of research and development, Steeda found that there was a large difference in bolt and hole size, making it possible for the subframe to be misaligned from the factory by up to 1/2 in. left to right. These kits are made from CNC-machined Delrin to avoid putting two dissimilar metals next to each other to prevent corrosion. These solid mounts bolt directly to the frame of the 1982-92 GM F-body and 1978-88 GM G-body, as well as many other 1974 and later GM V8 applications. Steeda S550 Ford Mustang rear subframe alignment kits are specially designed to work with BMR CB005 and SR Performance IRS tie-down kits to solve the problem of the rear subframe being misaligned from the factory. On the S550s, there is a large difference in size between the subframe's mounting holes and mounting bolt, causing misalignment from the factory up to 1/2 in. left to right. Steeda kits are made from CNC-machined Delrin to avoid putting two dissimilar metals next to each other, preventing corrosion, and it also weighs less than aluminum or steel.
