The World Products Merlin IV engine blocks are also available with a 2.120 in. BBC cam journal and standard .842 in. lifter bores, or with a 2.283 in. journal for a 55mm Babbitt cam and .904 in. lifter bores. Now you don't have to run a cumbersome roots-style supercharger on your vintage muscle. Vortech's carbureted centrifugal supercharger kits are designed to bring the performance and compact fit associated with late model fuel injected kits to vehicles equipped with carbureted engines. In most cases, these kits will fit under your stock hood without modifications. The heart of each kit is either a gear-driven V-1 S-Trim head unit or a gear-driven V-7 YSi-Trim head unit, unless otherwise noted. The cast aluminum carburetor enclosure assembly pressurizes the float bowls and throttle shafts for seamless response, and is designed for use with Holley 4150 or Demon 750 MD carburetors. The enclosure features front and rear -8 AN fuel inlet ports as well as provisions for pressure and vacuum connections. Linkage arms, a splined shaft, left/right hand spherical rod ends, and carburetor studs are included for simple throttle connection and adjustment. The included oil feed and oil drain assemblies deliver the best possible lubrication and cooling for the supercharger.
