The patented, 3-pocket body forged from premium 4340 steel incorporates the best features of both the H-beam (mass/weight) and I-beam (strength) designs. This provides 60 percent more bending strength compared to common H-beam rods. Each piece is heat-treated, shot-peened, and fitted with ARP-2000 cap screws (strong, malleable, and 220,000 psi rating) before final finish machining. Keep things straight with a set of BoostLine connecting rods (also available individually). Order the connecting rods in the model recommended for your specific engine size. Steeda oil separators reduce detonation, oil burning, and deposits on intake valves by removing oil drawn through the PCV system before it can contaminate the intake charge. Excess crankcase pressure (blow-by) is vented from the crankcase through the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned to the engine to be burned. High-rpm, turbo and supercharged, nitrous-boosted, and high-mileage engines often draw excessive amounts of oil into the engine through the PCV system. Steeda oil separators are offered in a variety of configurations and a choice of materials. Each one plugs into the PCV hose between the PCV valve and the intake manifold and removes aerated oil from the re-circulated air and collects it so that it can be drained and recycled. They are fully sealed to ensure against vacuum leaks, and are simple to service.
