The Holley Sniper Transmission Controller (STC) is designed for common GM and Ford electronic 4-speed automatic transmissions. Three part numbers cover a complete range of applications—all Sniper EFI systems, Sniper 2 EFI-specific (M8 CAN connection), or a full standalone unit. The Sniper specific applications connect to your Sniper EFI system via CAN bus and are programmed through the existing Sniper 3.5 in. touch screen. No programming is available with PC computer software; however, the transmission functions can be data-logged and reviewed with Sniper PC software. The Standalone version includes a dedicated 3.5 in. touch screen and is primarily intended for carbureted engine combinations. GM and Ford 4-speed electronic overdrive transmissions are simple in operation. They have four speeds, with the top gear being an overdrive; and all have a lockup torque converter that eliminates any slippage when the lockup is applied. With a stock torque converter, the lockup should only be applied under light throttle conditions or excessive wear will occur. Upshifts, downshifts, and torque converter lockup are based on vehicle speed and throttle position (or optionally the MAP sensor) and are adjustable with the 3.5 in. touch screen. MSD Atomic transmission control modules are designed to adjust the operating parameters of later model electronically controlled 4-speed automatic overdrive transmissions. They're simple to configure with the supplied hand-held monitor--no PC required. You now have access to adjust shift points, adjust torque converter clutch behavior, select different levels of shift firmness, select between auto-shift and manual shift mode, and activate dyno mode to deliver repeatable chassis dyno results. The included hand-held monitor connects to them and can be left in place as a dashboard to monitor the transmission in real time, or can be disconnected when the configuration is complete. Once installed, these modules need only a few basic parameters to complete the initial setup. First, select the type of transmission you are using--all supported transmission types are listed in the menu. Other required fields include the number of engine cylinders, rear-end gear ratio, and tire height. Once this has been completed, you can now start and drive the vehicle, while taking advantage of the advanced setup menu items to dial-in the transmission to your liking. You can feel the results in real-time as a passenger manipulates the parameters and monitors the real-time data. Data available for viewing includes engine speed, vehicle speed, throttle position, transmission fluid temperature, shifter position, and commanded gear. Best of all, the MSD Atomic transmission control modules are available as completely stand-alone units or Brainwave-compatible for the Atomic EFI systems. A transmission controller harness is sold separately.

B&M Racing introduces the Precision SportShifter for 2007-18 Jeep Wrangler JK models equipped with the NSG370 6-speed manual transmission. The unit features a CNC billet aluminum case with an electric blue anodized finish which houses internal components made from super tough 4140 chromoly. The shift throw has been reduced by 35 percent over the factory shifter along with the detent pressure which has been significantly increased creating a noticeably stiffer shift feel. This was done to address problems with the softness of the factory shifter detent springs which easily pop out of gear while off-roading. The shifter uses the factory shift stick and knob.
