DEI Form-A-Shield Heat Barriers

DEI Form-A-Shield heat barriers solve the problem of needing a direct-contact, extreme heat barrier. Capable of withstanding direct heat of up to 1,400 degrees F, these sheets can cover exhaust headers, manifolds, turbo housings, and downpipes, dramatically reducing radiant exhaust temperatures. Formed from 10 mil dimpled-aluminum that's bonded to a high-temp rated basalt thermal barrier material, Form-A-Shield may be applied directly to hot surfaces, helping to lower underhood temperatures while keeping more heat in the exhaust system. Order the Form-A-Shield heat barriers in the size and thickness needed for your application. Key features and benefits: * Extremely pliable and forms to many shapes and configurations * Durable and resistant to oil and chemical spills * Superior insulator anywhere near the path of exhaust pipes * Can be applied directly to hot surfaces * Fasten with straps, screws, clamps, or DEI locking ties (not included) * Direct heat resistance: 1,400 degrees F Note: DEI adhesive spray can be used with Form-A-Shield on "non-hot" areas only, to serve as a heat barrier/reflector.
