These MSD 2-step rev controllers coupled with MSD's digital 6AL ignition box let you choose from two different rpm limits that can be activated at different times. For example, you can use a lower-rpm setting for staging and then automatically switch to a higher-rpm setting after you release your trans-brake or line lock. The 2-Step is also digitally controlled and connects to the Digital 6AL's gray tach output wire. There are two easy to read rotary dials that let you set the launch rpm in 100 rpm increments from 2,000-11,800 rpm. MSD Programmable Digital-7 CD Plus ignitions have an output power and Individual Cylinder Management timing system that are hard to beat. At the heart of these ignitions is a 15 MHz micro-controller that analyzes and manages every trigger signal. Their capacitive discharge circuits and state-of-the-art IGBT coil drivers work together to deliver a potent spark that can easily handle high cylinder pressures. Below 3,300 rpm, a series of sparks burn in the cylinder over 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation, producing a smooth idle with great throttle response. You can control all of this spark energy through an array of timing and rpm programs. These programs include: Individual cylinder timing that can program up to 10 degrees per cylinder in .1 degree increments, a launch retard that lets you retard the timing up to 15 degrees for 0-2.5 seconds after the launch, a launch timing curve, and a run curve enabling you to plot a timing curve in .1 degree increments per 100 rpm. When activated, the 2-Step will hold your engine at a constant RPM. This can be achieved by way of a clutch switch or push button. As soon as your activation switch or button is released, full ignition is restored and you're off to the races. The RPM is adjusted with two built-in rotary dials ranging from 1,800-9,900 rpm in 100 rpm increments. A handy LED shows when the launch rev limit is active.

PerTronix digital rev limiters are micro-controller based digital units that provide much greater accuracy than analog systems. Rotary switches with 100 rpm increments permit easy setting, and eliminate the need for chips or jumpers commonly found on other limiters. They control rpm by randomly stealing sparks, reducing the fouling common with other brands. Each of these units includes two analog filters and one digital filter to eliminate unwanted entry of voltage noise from the coil. Convert your OEM-style breaker points and condenser to the more reliable Unilite ignition from Mallory. These self-contained units have no moving parts to wear out, so they provide many years of trouble-free service. Simply replace the points with the Unilite module, which consists of a photo coupler, signal processor, and power switch. Each time the shutter wheel stops the infrared light from reaching the photo coupler, the electronic circuitry energizes the ignition coil. When the shutter wheel allows the light to reach the photo coupler, the stored energy in the coil discharges. These kits can drive both OEM and high-performance ignition coils, and are designed for 12 V negative ground systems.

These Pro-Billet dual pickup distributors from MSD are specifically designed for Circle Track racing. Not only do they feature a strong, CNC-machined billet 6061-T6 aluminum housing and a large steel shaft, but they also feature two magnetic pickups for a complete redundant ignition system that can be activated at the flip of a switch. The pickups are triggered as a precision reluctor, mounted to the oversized shaft, spins past. The pickups are placed precisely 180 degrees apart so that when you switch to the secondary ignition, the timing remains constant. Guiding the distributor shaft is the responsibility of two sealed ball bearings for incredible endurance and high-end stability. The shaft also receives a QPQ coating for corrosion resistance and friction reduction. Additional features include a fully adjustable mechanical advance consisting of a hardened advance cam, chromoly weights, and weight pins that are TIG-welded to the advance plate. The entire assembly is welded to the polished steel. The advance assembly can also be easily locked out for quick tuning changes. The Chevrolet model features two O-ring grooves at the base of the CNC-machined housing to prevent oil in the lifter valley from leaking through the oil passage. If the engine deck, heads, or intake have been modified, there is an adjustable slip collar that allows you to set the correct installation depth. All dual pickup distributors include a cap and rotor.
