MSD Boost Timing Master Ignitions
If you run a blower, turbo, or even a naturally aspirated engine, MSD's Boost Timing Masters allow you to run at the edge of detonation for maximum power output. They can prevent detonation by automatically retarding the timing as your manifold pressure increases. The secret lies in a boost pressure sensor that's inside MSD's solid-state control box. The sensor reads boost pressure through a 1/8 in. vacuum hose attached to a boost pressure source. The result gives you peak power without harmful detonation. A dash-mounted control knob allows you to dial in the retard from 1 to 3 degrees per pound of boost pressure, up to a maximum retard of 15 degrees. Vacuum tubing is not included. These units must be used with an MSD 6, 7 or 8 series ignition.

MSD 6-MOD Ford Modular Engine Controller
The 6-Mod Ignition Controller was originally developed for the 4.6 and 5.4-liter modular motors that were fed through a carburetor rather than an electronic fuel injection system. However, with the useful options that the 6-Mod provides, such as two rev limits, a step retard and easy control over the timing, the EFI people wanted a way to take advantage of the adjustment. The harness kit provides a splice-free installation of the MSD 6-Mod Controller to factory equipped EFI vehicles making installation a snap. All of the connectors plug directly to the factory units so there is no cutting or splicing of your factory wires. Once installed, the 6-Mod allows users to advance or retard the factory's timing curve, program a step retard for use with nitrous systems or even map out a timing curve through a laptop by using MSD's Pro-Data+ software.

MSD Digital 2-Step Rev Controllers
These MSD 2-step rev controllers coupled with MSD's digital 6AL ignition box let you choose from two different rpm limits that can be activated at different times. For example, you can use a lower-rpm setting for staging and then automatically switch to a higher-rpm setting after you release your trans-brake or line lock. The 2-Step is also digitally controlled and connects to the Digital 6AL's gray tach output wire. There are two easy to read rotary dials that let you set the launch rpm in 100 rpm increments from 2,000-11,800 rpm. There is an activation wire that connects to the transbrake, a clutch switch or to the line-lock to activate the low rpm limit. When that switch is released, the low rpm limit is turned off and the car launches hard!

MSD Soft Touch Rev Controllers
There are two ways to limit your rpms. The rough way simply cuts off ignition spark, which can cause backfiring, extreme engine roughness, and possible engine damage. The gentle way is with these MSD Soft Touch rev controllers. They use sophisticated computer circuitry to drop spark one cylinder at a time, until your engine is at or below its maximum rpm. Those cylinders are then fired on the next cycle, to prevent them from loading up with fuel. The result is smooth rev limiting action without all the rough stuff. There are two versions of the Soft Touch rev controllers--one for MSD's 6T, 6TN, 6HVC ignitions, and one for OEM electronic and points ignitions.
