MSD Pro 600 CDI ignition kits with high-output coils answer this need. The Pro 600 CDI ignitions provide unrivaled spark energy and dependability. They have built-in protection for accidental reverse battery connection, over temperature protection, and LED diagnostics that can identify an issue with individual coils should a problem arise. They also feature a programmable power setting to allow racers to switch between 250 to 400 millijoule outputs, or the industry-leading output of 680 millijoules via an activation wire or software, meaning that you can turn it down for the long haul and then set it to kill mode at the strip, making the Pro 600 ideal for a Drag Week-style car and really any no-compromise vehicle. Convert your OEM-style breaker points and condenser to the more reliable Unilite ignition from Mallory. These self-contained units have no moving parts to wear out, so they provide many years of trouble-free service. Simply replace the points with the Unilite module, which consists of a photo coupler, signal processor, and power switch. Each time the shutter wheel stops the infrared light from reaching the photo coupler, the electronic circuitry energizes the ignition coil. When the shutter wheel allows the light to reach the photo coupler, the stored energy in the coil discharges. These kits can drive both OEM and high-performance ignition coils, and are designed for 12 V negative ground systems.

MSD Super HEI Kits
MSD Super HEI kits solve the common problem of power loss and a lack of response above 4,500 rpm. Different kits are available with all of them allowing you to remove or bypass the low-powered HEI module and coil and replace them with an MSD 6A or 6AL ignition control and Blaster 2 high output coil. The results are more power, an increased rpm range, easier starting, and better mileage and performance. The Super HEI conversion fits all GM V8 engines with the GM HEI internal coil distributor.
