Internally the system is open with a small offshoot path leading to the main chamber; this is designed to bounce soundwaves back into the exhaust flow path to eliminate unwanted frequencies. These systems replace the stock muffler with straight pipe for an aggressive exhaust tone and increased performance. Maximum dyno gains of 15 hp and 16 lbs.-ft. were measured at the rear wheels. Their 2.50 in. mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel tubing is used to maximize exhaust flow and durability. Each system keeps the exhaust tip tucked up higher in the rear of the vehicle for better departure angle and minimizes the chance of hanging up on the exhaust when aggressively off-roading.
