Steeda oil separators reduce detonation, oil burning, and deposits on intake valves by removing oil drawn through the PCV system before it can contaminate the intake charge. Excess crankcase pressure (blow-by) is vented from the crankcase through the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned to the engine to be burned. High-rpm, turbo and supercharged, nitrous-boosted, and high-mileage engines often draw excessive amounts of oil into the engine through the PCV system. Steeda oil separators are offered in a variety of configurations and a choice of materials. Each one plugs into the PCV hose between the PCV valve and the intake manifold and removes aerated oil from the re-circulated air and collects it so that it can be drained and recycled. They are fully sealed to ensure against vacuum leaks, and are simple to service.

Mishimoto aluminum oil filter housing kits swap the stock plastic model for a robust all-aluminum replacement. The stock oil filter housing is known to become brittle after repeated heat cycles. When that happens, even the slightest amount of torque on the filter cap while performing an oil change can be enough to crack the housing and cause significant oil leaks. And living underneath the intake manifold makes it difficult to identify and diagnose leaks. Mishimoto aluminum oil filter housing kits safeguard against these problems. The housings have pre-installed oil pressure and temperature sensors, and include oil filter, filter cap, intake manifold gaskets, oil seals, and bolts for a one-stop solution. Quicksilver partially dressed crate engines are value-packed alternatives to purchasing a complete new engine if the engine to be repaired has internal damage, but the dress components are in good condition. They are major assemblies that include a new (not rebuilt, remanufactured or reconditioned) long block, as well as the fuel delivery and ignition components required for a high-quality major repair. The partial engine assembly is completed by reusing many components from the engine being repaired, or those components must be purchased separately. The foundation of every Quicksilver crate engine is a new iron block cast to Quicksilver's specifications and designed expressly for marine duty. Thicker castings ensure quieter operation and better durability in saltwater when compared to a standard automotive block. They feature Black-X composite valves that contribute to a 42 percent reduction in valve wear compared to traditional stainless steel valves with hardened seats, and smooth-flowing cylinder heads that deliver added performance.
