Designed for 396-502 c.i.d. big block Chevy engines, these Edelbrock cylinder heads include heavy-duty exhaust valves that provide the added durability needed for marine applications, and have one-piece, stainless steel intake valves with hardened tips and swirl-polished heads. The high-velocity flow capabilities of Edelbrock Performer RPM cylinder heads provide increased torque across a wide rpm range that's ideal for marine use. They're cast from A356 aluminum and heat-treated to T6 specs. Their oval-port heads have 110cc chambers and their rectangular port heads have 118cc chambers. Both the oval and rectangular port heads are hard-anodized to protect the aluminum in the harsh marine environments.

The patented, 3-pocket body forged from premium 4340 steel incorporates the best features of both the H-beam (mass/weight) and I-beam (strength) designs. This provides 60 percent more bending strength compared to common H-beam rods. Each piece is heat-treated, shot-peened, and fitted with ARP-2000 cap screws (strong, malleable, and 220,000 psi rating) before final finish machining. Keep things straight with a set of BoostLine connecting rods (also available individually). Order the connecting rods in the model recommended for your specific engine size. With lightweight 8mm, 2.020 in. intake valves and 1.600 in. exhaust valves, combustion chamber volumes of 58 or 72cc, and 68cc exhaust ports, AFR's 185cc Ford cylinder heads are designed for 302-351 c.i.d. engines operating from 1,500 to 6,500 rpm.
