At the core of these kits are Stifflers' unique single-tube crossmembers—adding strength and stiffness beyond that of OEM versions, while offering versatility without the excess weight. They also allow more exhaust clearance. To install, simply slide the mounting sleeves and reposition the spacers to cover your application. They work with OEM and aftermarket transmission mounts, and will maintain your current pinion angle. Stifflers Suspension transmission crossmembers include low-deflection polyurethane bushings in the mounts to dampen driveline vibrations and noise, but for racing applications they can be replaced by optional solid bushings. Stifflers Suspension transmission mounts and adapters provide the right geometry. They are available for a variety of transmission and chassis combinations--including a version designed to be used in conjunction with Stifflers polyurethane GM transmission mounts to install a TH-350, TH-400, or Powerglide transmission in Mustangs. Other designs offered include versions to fit Ford 6R80 automatic transmissions and Viper specification T-56 manual transmissions to earlier Mustangs. They are all designed to maintain proper driveline angles.

Hooker LS engine swap transmission crossmembers are built to mount the transmission in place when switching to an LS engine. They are designed using CAD modeling/FEA analysis for optimal fitment, strength, weight, safety, and appearance. The crossmembers are manufactured from high-strength, low-alloy steel and then black powdercoated for maximum durability. They provide an engineered 3 to 3.5 degree engine/transmission inclination angle that is critical to obtaining suitable U-joint working angles. They are designed to be used in conjunction with Hooker LS engine swap brackets to provide a bolt-in installation of Hooker LS swap manifolds, headers, and exhaust systems for this application.
