Racepak SmartWire Kits

Racepak SmartWire kits are fully programmable power distribution modules, capable of controlling 30 outputs (on/off switching) and 12 inputs (switch-activated) on any type of 12–16 VAC systems. Fuses, relays, and solenoids are eliminated, instead controlled through solid-state switching inside the housing. Current outputs and switching inputs—along with a nearly unlimited variety of on-off switching functions—are user-programmable through the Racepak DataLink II software. Racepak SmartWire kits can operate in three different modes: * Stand Alone: Power from the battery is connected to the power stud of the SmartWire. Outputs to each device in the vehicle are connected to one of two 15-pin connectors; output currents and related requirements are programmed via connection of the SmartWire to the user's PC. Switching off and on of the devices is handled through inputs on the 15-pin connectors or optional SwitchPanel or SwitchModule. * In conjunction with Racepak V-Net sensors: Want to automatically turn on a radiator fan, but only when the water temperature is above 190 degrees? Racepak Analog Pre-Programmed V-Net Modules With Sensors

Racepak's Vehicle Network (V-Net) is a "smart data" transfer network able to transmit multiple signals from sensors over a single cable. The key to the V-Net system is the modular connectors that attach each of the devices to the main cable. For a function or component to be monitored on the V-Net, the signal from that device must pass through a sensor and its module (essentially a miniature computer) that identifies and retrieves only the proper incoming signals and allows other signals to pass through. The sensor measures the input from the function or device (i.e. rpm, pressure, temperature, etc.), while the module converts the signal so it can be transmitted over the V-Net. Racepak analog pre-programmed V-Net modules with sensors are programmed to collect specific data and are ready for plug-and-play installation on the V-Net cable. Racepak LDX Logger Dash Data Recorders

Racepak LDX Logger dash data recorders combine data acquisition with Racepak's advanced instrumentation! They also take full advantage of the capabilities of V-Net technology. In addition to the wiring harness that imports signals from the engine rpm, drive-shaft rpm, water temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage, up to 32 optional sensors modules can be attached to the single V-Net network cable. This yields a total recording capability of 37 channels of data. The LDX Logger can record and upload to a PC the data from all of the monitored sensors, while at the same time displaying the input from up to 21 of those functions on the dash screen. With the simple push of a button, you can view the displayed functions by scrolling through four separate screen pages on the dash. Each page contains five user-programmable digital displays, plus the constant engine rpm bar graph. Selecting which functions will appear on each page is done through your Racepak Datalink software. The dash features output ports to connect a shift light and an external warning light. Shift points can be programmed using the screen of the dash or your software. You're also able to assign limits for the warning lights and the parameters for the dash-mounted mode buttons. Minimum and maximum levels that were attained during a recording can also be displayed. One full megabyte of memory provides a generous amount of recording time, while sample rates are programmable up to 100 per second per channel. Uploading data to a PC or laptop is accomplished through an included 6 ft. serial cable. The screen is backlit for nighttime use. Four threaded studs on the rear of the LDX Dash Logger facilitate mounting it to any flat surface.
