The 100 percent synthetic base was chosen for its foam inhibitors, superior resistance to oxidation, and its high shear stable control additives for superior resistance to viscosity loss between maintenance intervals. Synthetic Trick Shift is optimized with special friction control additives, preventing slip and shudder—and resulting in smooth positive shifts. Also, it contains special wear and seal protection chemistry commonly found in premium factory transmission fluids preferred by OE manufacturers. The compact and lightweight design features a 10-gauge black oxide coated 304 stainless steel base with a heavy-duty 303 stainless steel shift pin for longevity and bulletproof performance. The 1016 steel shift stick includes a black B&M logo shift knob for shifting duties while the external gate plate is constructed from black oxide coated 11-gauge 304 stainless steel for durability. The 3-speed gated forward shift pattern features a staggered shift pattern with positive stops between each gear for easy and precise shifts. Other features include thick injection-molded nylon side covers featuring a knurled texture with the B&M Pro Gate logo on both sides. The covers are removable for access to the virtually maintenance-free shifter sub-assembly and will not gum up with dirt affecting shift performance, which is ideal for Off-Road racing.
