APR braided stainless steel brake line upgrades are a direct-fit replacement that improves your braking experience with the best lines on the market today. Forget the factory rubber hoses that expand and can even rupture over time. These braided 304 stainless steel lines with a smooth-bore PTFE core allow for very little expansion. This gives you a firmer brake pedal with less required pedal travel, as the fluid gets to its destination faster without all the flex and expansion that happens with lower quality lines. Unlike many universal lines on the market that often use connector adapters, APR brake lines are application-specific with the correct length and hose fittings, eliminating potential leak points. The lines have an attractive PVC outer jacket in smoked clear so you can see the braided lines from within, with red anodized inserts, and Cr3+ steel connectors. Each brake line is fully tested to 3,000 psi prior to sale, which is far beyond typical operating pressures. The APR turbo muffler delete pipes are designed to replace the factory muffler with a straight, uninterrupted piece. The delete pipes are CNC-machined from billet aluminum and anodized black. To ensure proper sealing, APR's engineers took a two-part approach. A Viton® seal is included and forms a seal between the base of the muffler housing and the new piece. APR DTR8868 turbocharger systems are direct replacements for the EA839 3.0L turbo engine. These upgrades include matching software for various vehicles and mods, providing up to 620 hp (571 AWHP) and 422 lbs.-ft. of torque (572 AWT), depending on vehicle platform and fueling, all while keeping emissions components unmodified. The software supports premium pump fuel grades, race fuel grades, and even ethanol on the S4, S5, and SQ5 platforms with fueling upgrades. For dedicated race cars, the turbocharger is designed with plenty of headroom to go even further on your own. The APR Stage 3 software is designed to avoid hard-spiking in the lower RPM band or running on the edge of what the factory rods and pistons should handle. Particular attention was paid toward component protections for exhaust gas temperature (EGT), back pressure safety (EMAP), turbocharger discharge temperatures, and fueling system capabilities. As rising exhaust gas temperatures require more fuel, the system will lower lambda to cool EGT without taxing the injection system with excessive on-times. Secondary protections will limit output for safety. The HPFP software helps increase headroom without over-driving the pressure to the injection system. The need for limiting power under extreme prolonged use (like tracking the vehicle), is greatly reduced, and the optional upgraded HPFP dramatically increases ethanol output. Note: Specific software is required to use this system, and an upgrade from lower stage systems is included for various vehicles. APR lowering bump stops improve handling and ride quality—and are designed for use on lowered vehicles, such as those with APR Roll-Control lowering springs. Bump stops are a critical handling and ride-quality component of your suspension system, but they're often completely overlooked. Most setups are either running the factory bump stops, which are too tall (causing constant engagement during normal driving); cut bump stops, which remove the progressive dampening; or they've removed them altogether. All of these scenarios hurt handling and make the ride harsh. APR bump stops are designed using a balance of durometer (hardness) and length to tune comfort and handling under normal and aggressive driving scenarios. The balance takes the following into account: * Length: A longer bump stop, like the factory units, will have more volume to absorb a harsh impact. But during normal driving on a lowered vehicle, they will constantly contact, which impacts both handling and comfort. The quick engagement can disrupt handling and cause driver discomfort. APR shortened the bump stop to ensure that they work on a lowered vehicle, but kept them tall enough so they have enough volume to absorb a hard hit. * Durometer (hardness): An overly soft bump stop is comfortable but can't absorb enough energy to protect from damage. Likewise, an overly stiff bump stop will impact ride quality, and impact handling negatively. Testing various setups, APR found a balance by increasing stiffness to provide better handling without going overly stiff as to impact comfort. The bump stops also have a progressive rate to them with a soft "nose." This allows the bump stop to gently engage so as to not disrupt handling. APR throttle body inlet system is a comprehensive upgrade to the factory charge pipe system from the intercooler outlet to the throttle body. APR replaces all the components and provide a new, larger, free flowing system that flows roughly 34 percent more than stock. This was achieved by increasing the cross-sectional area of the system and by reducing the tight radius bend directly in front of the throttle body. This system does away with two potential boost leak points thanks to their single cast design. They have upgraded the intercooler outlet hose to a multiply wire-reinforced silicone design with T-bolt clamps that resist boost leak over the stock counterpart. APR's new billet throttle body to manifold adapter provides a convenient boost and vacuum reference point which can be used to for a gauge or anything else that suits your build. Lastly the system comes complete with new throttle body and intake manifold gaskets, which are common leak points many never know to address.
