Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires are competition tires designed to push the envelope further in reducing lap times. They're uniquely created to match the abilities of a select few ultra-high performance applications and are not suitable for all vehicles. Starting with a super sticky tread compound created to provide extreme grip, these tires feature an asymmetrical tread pattern with fewer lateral tread notches—to increase rigidity and help transfer the force from the tire to the ground. The circumferential grooves are thinner and positioned towards the inside of the tire, creating a contact patch that is 10 percent larger than the original Pilot Sport Cup 2. Additional features: * Excellent dry performance; not recommended for use in wet conditions * Longer tread life * Built with the same tread compound as Michelin motorsports racing slicks * Shave up to 0.8 seconds per mile on the racetrack when compared to Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires
