Originally introduced in 1987, the latest versions of these Sportsman II heads from World Products continue to be the industry's most popular cast iron cylinder heads. Features include high-flow 200cc RightCast intake runners, Fast-Burn combustion chambers, and your choice of angled or straight spark plug locations. The ports are extra-thick with plenty of room for porting, and the heads are indexed off the chambers to ensure perfect alignment with the cylinders. Other features include universal end pads that'll accept all early and late model accessories, leak-free machined valve cover rails, and the ability to accept both perimeter and center bolt style valve covers. They are available in bare or complete assemblies with stainless steel valves, valve springs, retainers, locks, umbrella-style valve seals, screw-in studs, and pushrod guideplates.

Manley Pro Series crankshafts can make your short block bulletproof. They feature forged 4340 construction and undergo a multi-step heat-treatment process and are then nitrided for added strength. The crankshafts are stress-relieved, shot-peened, and magnafluxed. Manley Pro Series crankshafts have micro-polished large .125 in. radius journals, gun-drilled mains, and lightened rod journals for weight reduction. The counterweights are fully profiled and they are designed for internal balancing.

Eagle forged 4340 steel crankshafts are great for high performance applications. They feature non-twist forging, undergo a multi-stage heat-treatment process, and are stress-relieved and shot-peened. These cranks are X-rayed, magnafluxed, and sonic-tested, so you know you're getting a top-quality piece. Each crankshaft has chamfered oil holes for improved oiling, a .125 in. radius on rod and main journals for increased strength, and the journals are precision-ground and micro-polished to less than 5 R.A. The 2.0T EA888.4 found in the MQB EVO / MK8 platform has possibly the most underwhelming engine cover to grace the 2.0T since its inception generations back.
