Engineered for drag racing, Calvert Racing split mono-leaf springs have a higher spring rate and a stiffer ride than stock springs. Tested on the fastest stock suspension cars in the world, they are designed to control and reduce excessive body separation in rear suspension and plant the rear tires without unloading. The parabolic rear-half design distributes the main spring pressure point through the length of the half, reducing spring breakage. GSI Machine and Fabrication offers Air Ride bolt-on front suspension kits for a variety of applications—including many 1960s and '70s era Chevrolet trucks. These 100 percent bolt-in front crossmember kits include all the necessary components to replace your old worn-out suspension with new, modern air ride. Custom-designed tie rod adapters require no modification to the spindle; while narrowed track width facilitates driving and turning low. Wheel position has been moved forward 1 in. to center the wheel in the wheel opening; and upgraded steering powers rack and pinion. Kits are designed to use "clamshell" style motor mounts with a GM 350 engine; LS, LT, and big block engines are compatible with the use of GSI motor mount adapters (available separately). RAM Truck Pulling Custom Order Clutch Kits
RAM truck pulling clutch kits are custom-assembled for your specific application. These units feature a heavy-gauge steel cover with welded spring guides and a steel pressure ring. Flywheels are available in 30 or 40 lb. weights, as well as in billet aluminum. The clutches can be set up with either 5135 or 5191 compound iron discs with 1 to 10 splines. Single disc slipper-style clutches can be used with engines producing up to 800 hp, or where very limited slipping is desired. These clutches utilize the same quality components as the RAM dual disc pulling clutches. These units can be assembled with your choice of sintered iron disc materials and flywheel weights.
