Chevrolet Performance has released its latest factory-engineered LS high-performance engine: the 376/525 LS3 long block. It blends the racing-derived ASA camshaft with the LS3 6.2L production engine to create the most powerful production-based crate engine in Chevrolet Performance's portfolio, delivering 525 hp at 6,200 rpm and 486 lbs.-ft. torque at 5,200 rpm. (For installation in older vehicles, the engine controller kit part number 19354332 is calibrated specifically for this new engine.) Using the LS3 production engine—the same used in Corvettes and Camaros—as the foundation for the LS 376/525 helped keep the retail price lower; while the ASA camshaft is a proven, power-building component that's been successful in the high-RPM world of Circle Track racing. The ASA camshaft is a hydraulic roller with .525-inch lift on both the intake and exhaust sides, along with 226 degrees duration on the intake side and 236 degrees on the exhaust side. Coupled with a tight, 110-degree lobe separation angle, it helps the engine deliver excellent throttle response and breath exceptionally well at high RPM. The cam also gives the LS 376/525 the most aggressive personality among Chevrolet Performance's growing lineup of production-based high-performance crate engines, which also includes the LS 376/480 and the carbureted LS 376/515. Performance crate engine. Rated at 523 hp and 543 lbs.-ft. of torque, it offers your project a unique and naturally aspirated combination of big-displacement torque and high-rpm horsepower. The L8T 6.6L foundation is the same high-strength, big-displacement engine found in the Silverado HD from 2020 to present day, featuring a forged steel crankshaft and high-strength components. Here, at last, is the king of all big block crate engines from Chevrolet Performance. These 502 cu. in. engines are available unassembled or fully assembled. Each version makes extensive use of aluminum to keep weight down—including aluminum heads, intake, water pump, and valve covers. Additionally, ZZ502 c.i.d. deluxe long block crate engines are full of heavy-duty parts, such as: forged aluminum pistons, forged shot-peened steel connecting rods with 7/16 in. bolts, forged steel crankshaft, 14 in. automatic transmission flexplate, 4-bolt main blocks, stainless steel valves, 6 qt. oil pan, and windage trays. The complete Chevrolet Performance engine kits come with Gen 6 four-bolt main blocks with one-piece rear main seals. Hydraulic roller camshaft specs are: .527 in. intake lift, .544 in. exhaust lift; the duration at .050 in. for intake is 224, and 234 for exhaust with a 112-degree lobe centerline. Other features include a single roller timing chain, aluminum large oval port, and 110cc combustion chambered heads. Intake runner volume is 290cc; stainless steel valves are installed, with 2.25 in. intake side and 1.88 in. on the exhaust side. Valve springs are rated at 140 lbs. closed and 368 lbs. open, good for up to .680 in. lift. These heads have exhaust crossovers. Aluminum high-rise dual-plane square bore bolt pattern intake manifolds and an 870 cfm carburetor are also included.
