Temprotex Insulative Fire Extinguishing Barrier Coating is a proprietary non-flammable, intumescing (expands up to 2,000 percent), flexible, ductile, elastomeric coating that is suitable for interior or exterior use. It is a non-toxic, drain-safe, no fuming product. Fireshell is SFI 54.1 approved for extinguishing fires, protecting composite parts and is E84 class A certified. The water-based one-part coating system is mandated by NHRA and NASCAR. Can be used on hoses, shifter boots, plastic, carbon fiber or any fiberglass composite parts to stop ignition. This coating can be latex or oil-based top-coated.

Optional lowering of viscosity is achieved by reducing with 4011 Reducer. * candy2oo is intense: 4 to 6 medium wet coats are recommended for full color saturation. Allow each coat to air dry tack-free prior; approximately 10 minutes flash time between coats when painting in non-humid, temperate conditions * candy2o has excellent adhesion, especially with the addition of 4030 Balancing Clear or 4050 Gloss Clear, so they will not lift or peel when taped on. As always, achieving a finely atomized spray pattern is the goal. Reduce and adjust settings and psi for a spray pattern that's smooth and free of color droplets—or free of a "grainy" over-spray look.
