Van Steel offers half shafts for a variety of applications, including Chevrolet Corvette models from the 1960s, '70s, and '80s. Half shafts are, essentially, a drive axle that spans roughly half the car, from the wheel to the transaxle or differential. They take power from the vehicle's transmission and differential—and transfer it to the wheels, allowing the vehicle to drive forward. Most kits include two 2.5 in. or 3 in. new shafts, new solid Neapco U-joints, and new flanges. The components have a protective silver paint coating.
