Scott's Hot Rods 4-Bar Rear Suspension Kits
Scott's Hot Rods 4-bar rear suspension kits have a simple design, but will greatly improve the ride quality and handling of your hot rod or custom. These truly equal length parallel 4-bars use a very long, perpendicular panhard bar to maximize efficiency and reduce lateral movement. Both user-friendly and fully adjustable, the kits also use their CNC-machined and tapped stainless steel rod ends with right-hand or left-hand thread, allowing you to adjust the pinion angle and setup without unbolting the link bars. And unlike a Triangulated 4-link system, the pinon angle does not change throughout the travel of the suspension. The kits are offered with coilovers or airbags. Scat engine rotating assemblies are available with either a high-quality Scat forged 4340 crankshaft or Scat's Series 9000 cast crankshaft, plus I-beam or H-beam connecting rods with 7/16 in. or 3/8 in. cap screw bolts. For maximum power and reliability, Scat adds rod and main bearings from King, Federal Mogul, or Clevite 77, depending upon the application—and pistons and piston rings made by such well-known manufacturers as SRP/JE, Ross, KB, Mahle, Diamond, and Probe. Kits with cast and standard forged pistons have standard rings; kits with premium forged pistons have file-fit rings. These Scat crankshafts are made from the same strong aircraft-quality forging as standard-weight cranks, but have pendulum-cut counterweights to reduce rotating mass and oil windage. Scat Superlight crankshafts are perfect for engines wanting quicker rpm. These crankshafts feature profiled pendulum aero-cut counterweights and have straight shot and chamfered oil holes. Scat crankshafts are nitride-hardened, with large radii on all journals for superior wear resistance, and use lightening holes in all rod throws.
