You don't have to suffer constant carburetor issues in your hot rod or race car anymore. K&N Electronic Carburetor Injection (ECI) are self-tuning bolt-on systems that add a supplemental fuel source to optimize engine performance. And, since they are supplemental systems, you can tap into your current fuel supply and there is no need to run a return line back to your fuel tank. Users have the option to set detailed parameters, including their desired air-to-fuel ratio, injector pulse width, shot volume, progressive injector firing, and minimum/maximum rpm range. The brain of K&N's ECI systems is the ECU, which vigilantly monitors the input from the oxygen sensor to ensure an optimal air-to-fuel ratio is maintained. If the system detects an AFR higher than the user-defined limit, the injector will fire. Unlike a typical electronic fuel injection system, the ECI works cooperatively with your existing carburetor, supporting the fuel flow rates that high-horsepower vehicles require to operate efficiently. If your engine is performing lean, K&N's ECI systems will help make up for the fuel deficit. They do all the work; you get a PPE high performance fuel rail and all the benefits of a fully modified part. Equipped with both the PPE race fuel valve (or release valve shim kit style available by request) and ported fuel rail fitting, these PPE units are ready to bolt-on and run. This modification helps to maintain fuel rail pressure during full-throttle driving and also eliminates low fuel rail pressure DTC codes P1093 or P0087 (low fuel rail pressure during power enrichment) that are generally caused by insufficient PRV spring pressure.
