Dura-Bond 70000 Series valve seat inserts feature sintered, high-speed (tungsten carbide) tool steel construction. Special additives blended into the matrix impart high-temperature lubrication properties which makes the material impervious to extreme heat and machining, enabling it to be used in "dry" fuel applications such as propane (LPG) and natural gas. Dura-Bond 70000 Series valve seat inserts are more than adequate to withstand the demands of modern engines that put a higher level of thermal and mechanical stress on valve seat inserts. The patented materials and processes offer excellent machinability, along with low wear and high heat resistance. For the heavy- or extreme-duty use Dura-Bond recommends their 70000 Series valve inserts and are used in engines using diesel, unleaded gasoline, and propane.
