Chevrolet Performance's ZZ632/1000 deluxe long block crate engines are their biggest and baddest big blocks! They start with a tall deck Sportsman Bowtie block and an all-forged roller assembly, then add a hydraulic roller camshaft and high-flow spread-port CNC-machined cylinder heads derived from Pro Stock racing technology. The RS-X design cylinder heads feature symmetrical ports to produce similar power from all eight cylinders. ZZ632 crate engines have a crank-trigger ignition system with coil-near-plug ignition coils mounted on a unique valley plate. Included is a pre-programmed, self-learning control system for precise fuel control and amazing output on premium pump gas. These big block engines reach peak power at 6,600 rpm and rev to a recommended maximum of 7,000 rpm. Chevrolet Performance ZZ502 C.I.D. Deluxe Long Block Crate Engines

Here, at last, is the king of all big block crate engines from Chevrolet Performance. These 502 cu. in. engines are available unassembled or fully assembled. Each version makes extensive use of aluminum to keep weight down—including aluminum heads, intake, water pump, and valve covers. Additionally, ZZ502 c.i.d. deluxe long block crate engines are full of heavy-duty parts, such as: forged aluminum pistons, forged shot-peened steel connecting rods with 7/16 in. bolts, forged steel crankshaft, 14 in. automatic transmission flexplate, 4-bolt main blocks, stainless steel valves, 6 qt. oil pan, and windage trays. The complete Chevrolet Performance engine kits come with Gen 6 four-bolt main blocks with one-piece rear main seals. Hydraulic roller camshaft specs are: .527 in. intake lift, .544 in. exhaust lift; the duration at .050 in. for intake is 224, and 234 for exhaust with a 112-degree lobe centerline. Other features include a single roller timing chain, aluminum large oval port, and 110cc combustion chambered heads. Intake runner volume is 290cc; stainless steel valves are installed, with 2.25 in. intake side and 1.88 in. on the exhaust side. Valve springs are rated at 140 lbs. closed and 368 lbs. open, good for up to .680 in. lift. These heads have exhaust crossovers. Their 502 c.i.d. short blocks can be configured to deliver all of the muscle you want. The heart of these powerhouses is the same short block that GM uses for their 502 c.i.d., 502 hp bruiser—so you know they can crank out the power. Chevrolet starts with a Gen VI 4-bolt main block with a one-piece rear main seal and priority oiling for the main bearings. To that, they add: an externally balanced, forged crank that's shot-peened and magnafluxed; forged steel "dimple" connecting rods; forged aluminum pistons; a single-roller heavy-duty timing chain set; and a hydraulic roller camshaft. The cam has 0.527 in. of intake lift and 0.544 exhaust lift, with 110 degrees of lobe separation. Duration at 0.050 in. of lift is 224 degrees for the intakes, and 234 for the exhausts. These long blocks come complete with a powdercoated cast aluminum timing cover (will not accommodate double-row chains); aluminum cylinder heads and valve covers; a 6 qt. truck-type oil pan (will not fit Chevelle, Camaro, Nova, or Impala); a 14 in. flexplate; and an 8 in. harmonic balancer.
