DeatschWerks top-feed conversion fuel rails are designed to convert side-feed applications to top-feed. Many performance vehicles manufactured between 1991 and 2006 came from the factory with side-feed injectors. The benefit of the modern top-feed injectors is that they are easier to tune, less expensive, and flow more fuel than side-feed alternatives. These vehicle-specific fuel rails are sold in pairs. Today's aftermarket world makes it easy to pick up the phone and order 1000 HP for your street car. This has created several challenges for fuel delivery, ranging from hot fuel handling to pump noise. Aeromotive Dual Phantom Fuel Systems have been designed to solve this problem. They come loaded with two Aeromotive Stealth 340 lph fuel pumps, an additional set of electrical bulkheads, and a larger capacity foam and bladder. The pumps provide opportunity for supporting big power (see power ratings below) while remaining OEM quiet. Separate electrical bulkheads allow for an "on demand" fuel system, which reduces the amount of returned fuel and reduces the tank temperature, making vapor lock and cavitation a thing of the past. Also, this feature is a must when a redundant (back up) pump is needed in extreme conditions, such as off-road, desert, and endurance racing. PureFlow AirDog II-5G Fuel Air Separation Systems are the next generation in fuel delivery for a variety of diesel engine applications. The 5G is designed to be the longest lasting, most efficient, and quietest lift pump. AirDog II-5G utilizes a diaphragm-style fuel pressure regulator, allowing the pump to be boost referenced and adjusted from 7-70 psi. The 5G fuel/air separation system features a 4-bearing motor with an intermediate shaft that improves reliability and reduces pump noise. A demand flow design allows the pump to only send the necessary amount of fuel to the engine. Offenhauser Dual Port intake manifolds feature completely separate runner systems for the primaries and secondaries for more power across the rpm range. At low-load, the primaries feed the air/fuel charge through the smaller bottom passages at near sonic speed, improving power and efficiency. When the secondaries open, their charge goes through the bigger, cooler upper passages. Then, in turn, it is rammed into the cylinders when it encounters the high-velocity mix from the primaries.
