All Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads feature threaded inserts in the rocker studs and exhaust manifold bolt holes for superior strength and durability. JE Pistons Tour series gas ported pistons have undergone engineering changes to handle higher horsepower 4-barrel applications (approximately 650 hp) and angle-milled heads. Both the 350 and 400 Series accept oversize valves (the intake pocket is 2.255 in. and the exhaust pocket is 1.870 in.) and long-duration, tight lobe separation cams. Ring grooves are precision-machined for .043, .043, 3.0mm backcut rings with lateral gas ports for a superior ring seal.

The 2.0T EA888.4 found in the MQB EVO / MK8 platform has possibly the most underwhelming engine cover to grace the 2.0T since its inception generations back.
