When it comes to high-horsepower applications, Rhodes Race Cars fabricated Ford 9 in. housings are the only way to go. Available in 48 in. and 60 in. lengths, all the kits feature face plates with 3/8 in. press-in studs, billet aluminum fill caps, and drain fittings. Mild steel housings have 3 in. axle tubes; chromoly housings use 3 1/2 in. axle tubes. They are available with many different options--get one for your ride today. Un-welded kits require a rear end housing fixture (sold separately) to ensure proper axle alignment. The Driveshaft Shop's Level 4 axles are similar to their Level 5 models. The outer CV and the internals are made from high-grade chromoly. Original spline sizes are used to fit the stock hubs. To make sure the center bar is up to the task of hard launches, autocross, and rally demands, The Driveshaft Shop uses the new 300M material for extra strength. This material has proven to be, without a doubt, the strongest and most resilient bar material available to the company. Also, the inner CV was recently changed from a tripod design to a full ball and cage design—with a larger radius to the spline plug for added strength. The Driveshaft Shop introduces Level 6 1400 hp axles for the 2010-14 Camaro V8. They've designed a new one-piece outer CV for the application that is not only stronger but more cost-effective to manufacture. This saves you money without sacrificing durability! These direct bolt-in axles feature CNC rolled splines for extra strength. Full 30 spline certified 300M center bars (not just 28 spline like a factory 108mm CV would use)—30 spline, like the Viper T56 and any upgraded T56. If the cages are stronger, the bars need to be also. The Driveshaft Shop has also included their certified 4340AQ cages REM polished with a re-designed radius on the cage window. Cages are full 4340, not the standard material that has been carbonized and made brittle.

Lakewood safety bellhousings are designed for maximum performance and durability. They are cut on CNC 5 axis laser cutters rather than plasma cutters to improve finish quality, reduce heat damage and warpage from the plasma cutter, improve speed of manufacture, and make them all exactly the same. All bellhousings feature a scalloped plate on the bottom of the transmission surface made from G70 grade steel (70,000) psi which will help eliminate stripping the transmission bolts. The engine plates are made of H60 grade material and the bells are roto-brated after welding to relive any stresses created from the hydro forming, annealing, or welding process prior to machining and painting. The roto-brating process also closes the metal on the outer surface making them stronger. Ever wonder how the SFI tests bellhousings like these Lakewood safety bellhousings? First, they bolt the bellhousing to a machine with a cast iron flywheel and saw inside it. Then they spin the flywheel, causing the saw to cut through it until it explodes. If the bellhousing can contain the explosion, the bellhousing is approved. These safety bellhousings are a safeguard to minimize the destructive effects of such an explosion.
