The shorty tight-tuck design means you can route exhaust tubing close to your frame/floor pan for maximum ground clearance. These cats feature a ribbed body that minimizes expansion and distortion when the converters heat up. The ribs form a channel that protects the cushioning mat from direct exposure to exhaust gases, and they hold the ceramic catalyst in proper alignment. MagnaFlow converters use a monolithic honeycomb catalyst; the ceramic coating is designed for maximum flow and surface area, and the coating method is strictly controlled to maintain exact specifications. Doug's Headers has long been recognized of as one of the premiere exhaust header manufacturers in the performance industry. Since1958, they have been producing high-quality, hand-built, mandrel-bent exhaust headers. Each and every header is tuned with the proper tube size and length to efficiently remove all of the exhaust from each cylinder, reducing pumping losses, and resulting in dramatic increases in horsepower and torque. Doug's headers are carefully developed on the vehicles that they are intended to fit and are re-checked numerous times during the design and manufacturing process. Their designs include mid-length headers, Tri-Y headers, and long tube headers, plus manifold replacement headers. Their headers come with all the necessary mounting hardware, collector reducers or connector pipes, premium extra-thick gaskets, and detailed installation instruction sheets. The gaskets are rated up to 1100 degrees F, pressures to 3700 psig (255 bar), and are designed for an exact port match with their headers. Doug's Headers offer a choice of finishes: * Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating (MCTBC), which is polished with a vibratory finishing process that not only produces a high-luster aluminum appearance, but also compresses and activates the coating, which increases the surface hardness. The finish is 60 percent more corrosion resistant than an unpolished surface, easy to maintain, and will last for years under normal operation conditions. MCTBC also protects and extends the life of headers by creating a thermal barrier that significantly lowers under hood temperatures and protects the substrate metal from thermal fatigue. * Hi-Temp black coating is an affordably priced alternative to their MCTBC. This finish provides good corrosion and heat protection when compared to many of the "cheaper" header finishes being applied by our competitors. * Raw steel is available for individual customizing Unless otherwise noted, these headers are designed to fit the vehicle as it came from the manufacturer. This includes components like cylinder heads, chassis, steering, motor mounts, body mounts and bushings, etc. If your vehicle is using aftermarket components, parts from other applications, or custom altered parts, then it is the installer's responsibility to verify fitment.
