They are designed for use in engines that were originally equipped with flat tappet camshafts. The lobe profile and grind characteristics of these Thumpr camshafts use a combination of an early exhaust valve opening, a long exhaust duration, and a generous amount of intake and exhaust overlap. They're designed to maximize the rough-idling characteristics of the cams, giving you a seriously aggressive exhaust note without negatively impacting the power output or streetability of the engine. They are available in three different grind profiles. Each one will produce a rough, racy exhaust note and impressive amounts of horsepower and torque within a different rpm range. Thumpr Series cam and lifter kits feature a cutting-edge hydraulic roller design that delivers a substantial power increase over an identical hydraulic flat tappet grind without sacrificing reliability or ease of maintenance.

COMP Cams introduces another industry first with their Max-Lift BSR shaft rocker systems, a bolt-in bushed shaft rocker system that increases valve train stiffness helping your engine achieve higher levels of performance. By tying all eight rocker arms together on a single shaft that fits in the stock rocker stand, COMP Cams has found a way to improve valve train dynamics, increase valve train stiffness and reduce deflection under extreme loads.
