MSD Pro Power Coils

When tested against a competitor's coil, the MSD Pro Power coils produced 33 percent more current at the plug. They have an oil-filled insulated polyester case, an extra-tall high-tension spark plug tower to stop voltage leaks, and rubber shock mounts. They're designed for drag race use only, with MSD 7 and 8 Series ignitions.

MSD Multiple Spark Coils and Coil Kits

MSD Ignition's Multiple Spark Coils (MSC) will fit in place of the stock GM LS coils and connect directly to the factory connectors. Once installed, you'll have the power and performance of higher energy sparks, crowned with MSD's multiple spark discharge. Increased spark energy and voltage, along with multiple spark capabilities, help improve the combustion process of the fuel mixture to create an efficient burn. This results in improved throttle response, smooth idle and quick starts, plus increased high rpm performance!

MSD Pro-Billet Street Distributors

MSD Pro-Billet Street distributors are a popular choice for those who desire race-proven performance for their street machine. A vacuum advance canister provides improved economy, and the proven MSD mechanical advance mechanism allows you to dial in a timing curve to fit your needs. As always, an advance kit of springs and stop bushings is included. The housing features an all-billet 6061-T6 aluminum design for accuracy to within .001 in. An oversized steel shaft is QPQ-coated for low friction, and rides in sealed ball bearings at the top and bottom of the distributor. An extra-long sintered bushing replaces the ball bearing at the bottom for Chevrolet models. This combination keeps the shaft steady, creating accurate spark delivery at any rpm. They rely on a magnetic pickup to trigger the MSD ignition control, which delivers the powerful sparks to the coil. This pickup is extremely accurate and never needs adjusting. Pro-Billet Street distributors require the use of a separate ignition box, such as an MSD 6, 7, 8, or 10 Series ignition. Order the model recommended for your vehicle and engine application.

MSD Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run EFI Distributors

MSD Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run EFI distributors are the perfect upgrade when you start making serious power with your EFI Ford or Chevy. They use a stock-style trigger pickup and come with plug-in connectors. Installation is simple by removing the stock distributor, then plugging in and bolting the new one in place! A maintenance-free magnetic pickup accurately triggers this ignition with increased output from the amplifier, easily outperforming stock ignitions. These distributors will smooth out the engine's idle, improve starting, and perform at a much higher rpm. Their housings are machined from billet aluminum, using state-of-the-art CNC mills and lathes. For stability and endurance, an oversized steel shaft spins in a top-mounted sealed ball bearing for accuracy through the entire rpm range. Chevy models also feature an extra-long sintered bushing at the bottom and an extra oil tract machined into the bottom of the housing for improved lubrication. The tract delivers oil directly to the cam and distributor gears. All of the shafts receive a QPQ coating for low friction wear, and resistance against corrosion from humidity and ozone buildup. The Chevrolet models have also been tested by the Underwriter's Laboratory, and are certified to meet or exceed safety standards for marine ignition systems as set by the U.S. Coast Guard.
