They're intended for small block Chevy engines fitted with either 1996 and later cast iron Vortec heads or Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads. Edelbrock Performer RPM Vortec intake manifolds are based on their highly successful Performer family. They're designed for street rods, marine applications, and a host of engine swaps using small block Chevy V8s with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) cast iron heads or Edelbrock's E-Tec aluminum heads. They accept single square bore carbs only and have an external water bypass boss machined into the front of the water crossover for use on 1996 and later Vortec production engines. Their 1,500 rpm to 5,500 rpm power band makes them an excellent choice for a wide range of setups.
