Level 7 Motorsports' Direct Fit Enthusiast Series brake line plumbing kits offer a more budget-friendly option over their original chassis plumbing kit without sacrificing fitment and quality. These lines feature zinc-coated steel ends and standard vinyl-wrapped line clamps. Developed specifically for the popular 1967-87 Pro Touring Chevy C10 trucks, short bed and long bed styles, as well as Blazer/Jimmy, the kits are designed to be used on your stock C10 frame and to work with the Wilwood tandem master cylinder and combination proportioning valve. The brake lines in each kit follow the factory routing line while adding a clean and modern look on your classic vehicle. The lines in these Level 7 kits feature a PTFE-coated inner lining that is compatible with all fluids and is wrapped in a braided stainless steel cover to resist abrasion and corrosion. UMI Performance 1978-88 GM G-Body brake conversion kits include laser-cut UMI conversion brackets, lightweight aluminum hubs, and premium bearings—everything needed to adapt the C5/C6 abutment brackets, calipers, and rotors to the G-Body spindles. The hub features 5 x 4 1/2 and 5 x 4 3/4 bolt patterns and is intended to face mount the C5/C6 brake rotor in exact factory location (front track width is unaffected). Each kit includes premium bearing cups and cones, along with the correct rawhide seal for great performance and reliability. These conversion kits are the choice for UMI's Green Machine and have been thoroughly tested to withstand road race and Auto-X competition. They fit a wide range of Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac vehicles from the 1970s and '80s. Kit includes: UMI conversion brackets, driver and passenger side aluminum hubs, correct bearings and seals to mount the C5/C6 calipers and abutment brackets. Additional details: Wheel studs are not included. 1/2 in.-20 threaded studs will be required to complete installation. The strength of the Powerlites is a combination of process and design. The process of stress-flow forging re-aligns the metal's grain structure within the contour of the caliper body. This eliminates the stresses and interruptions to the internal grain structure that occur when machining a straight block billet. Their FEA-generated radial transition design eliminates steps and shoulders in the area between the piston housing body and the caliper bridges. Incorporating a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and caliper separation under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement tests have proven the efficiency of this innovative design. Without even considering the overall greater strength and reliability of the billet forging, the reduction in overall deflection and fluid volume displacement translate into increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel.
