An SFI-approved single-mass flywheel is recommended for racing climate applications in order to achieve optimal performance (flywheel not included). These kits use the same race-engineered SFI-approved pressure plates as Stage 3 Daily Driver packages. The disc is designed for the special needs of a vehicle with circuit racing in mind. Kevlar® friction material is used for its unique friction compounds applied with high-energy levels. This translates to a perfect transition from one gear to the next. Discs are assembled with only performance components and equipped with torsion springs functioning as a damper between engine and gearbox. SPEC Stage 4 clutch kits are solid hub versions of their Stage 3 clutches. Each hub is solid with eight rivets and the assembly is heat-treated for strength and durability. They are available in a 3, 4, and 6-puck configurations. Use a 3-puck for the lightest option or a 6-puck for the smoothest engagement. The 4-puck kit is a good compromise for both. Street-drivable in 6-puck configuration, but not street friendly due to the rigid hub.
