After years of development and testing, Trail-Gear fully loaded Six Shooter kits have set a new standard for Toyota knuckle strength and reliability. They totally eliminate the problem of broken steering knuckles and studs. The addition of two studs in each arm effectively prevents the steering arm from becoming loose or shearing off the studs under extreme loads. The knuckle housing was designed with thicker-than-stock material, and larger gussets have been added around the outside of the knuckle for extra strength. Precision CNC-machined, each set of knuckles and steering arms are inspected and tested for the highest quality of products that Trail-Gear can deliver. These kits include a special 6-hole shim pack for use between the top of the knuckle and the steering arm assembly. A minimum of four additional steering arm studs are required for installation.

Through years of research, development, and testing Trail-Gear has developed these Rock Assault double-ended ram kits—to meet the tough demands of top-level rock crawling competitors and the toughest trails in the world. Most rams on the market only have one rod seal. Trail-Gear started with the primary and secondary rod seal to insure that fluid leakage would never be an issue. They also included two wiper seals in the design to ensure that dirt and debris stays on the trail—and doesn't invade your steering system. In addition, the ram was designed with a triple-lip piston seal for consistent steering with no drift or fluid bypassing the piston. In true Trail-Gear style, the Rock Assault kits are engineered to be the strongest on the market, so they're designed with a piston wear band and a rod bushing. This bushing allows the rod to absorb much higher side loads. The piston shaft is machined from a single piece of 4340 chromoly. Trail-Gear Rock Assault double-ended ram kits are available with a 6, 8, or 10 in. stroke. The cylinder has a black zinc plated finish, while the rod has 3/4-16 in. female threads on each end.

Now available with a heavy-duty 25 percent higher spring rate, Trail-Gear Super Flex front leaf springs are perfect for heavier trucks and 4Runners that need that extra strength for the trail. They are also great for V6 and V8 engine swaps. Remember, if you install a heavier engine, it may be a good idea to improve your suspension. Otherwise, it's like asking your ride to do the same trail while overloaded with weight. It may get you to the trail faster, but those hills and terrain may just be too much for it to run that chassis and engine over. With these Trail-Gear Super Flex springs engineered to hold their arch and lift longer, your ride will be able to handle the weight and the trail.

Trail-Gear steering control valves function as orbital load reactive valves. These valves sense external forces placed on the system via the ram and react to them. If your steering and axle calculations are correct, the wheels will return to center. The ram you use with your orbital will determine the number of turns it takes to get from lock to lock.
