These TCI Breakaway torque converters will give you about 1,000 more rpm stall speed than stock, so you'll launch and accelerate faster. TCI remanufactures them to last with furnace-brazed fins, needle bearings, and a flame-hardened hub--the same qualities that they gave their street/strip converter.

TCI Maximizer high-torque towing converters are efficient units that put more of your engine's torque to the ground. Slippage is minimized, providing better gas mileage and as much as a 20-degree F reduction in transmission temperature. Another benefit is reduced engine rpm at highway speed. These torque converters are available in a variety of size options for more than a dozen Chevy, Ford, and Mopar transmission models.

These Maximizer Street Performance torque converters are built with extra reinforcement and thicker mounting surfaces to withstand the additional load and vibration put through the drivetrain by a truck with performance modifications. By providing additional stall, your truck will see better initial takeoff and will not lug the engine when using big tires. Special attention is made to match the converters to the power range of most trucks that do double duty as off-road and daily drivers. Improved rear-wheel horsepower and elapsed times are some of the results.

The TCI 4L60 Off-Road torque converters are the first in a new series featuring a low stall speed between 1,800 to 2,400 rpm to prevent "pushing through" the brakes when off-road, at low speed, or in stopped conditions. The 4L60 torque converters are perfect for mild LS-swapped Jeeps or off-road rigs. The extra robust 10-inch converter benefits from a heat-treated steel pump hub and sprag races for increased strength and durability for trail abuse. The double-captured thrust bearings increase capacity while also reducing drag, which is critical for off-road use. 4L60 Torque Converter features: * Designed for use with mild LS swapped Jeeps or off-road applications * Heat-treated steel pump hub * Heat-treated sprag races for increased strength and durability for off-road abuse * Double captured roller thrust beatings for increased capacity and reduced drag, critical for off-road use * Furnace-brazed * Balanced * Mounting hardware included Note: Actual stall speed may differ due to engine combination, gear selection, and vehicle weight.

Designed especially for classes where a functional torque converter is required, these Circle Track converters are built to maximize efficiency and reduce slippage. These converters can reduce lap times by over a tenth of a second when compared to a stock converter. Other benefits include a rotating weight reduction of several pounds (all removed from the outside diameter, and thus improving engine braking in corners) and reduced transmission operating temperatures.

TCI trans-brake kits allow you to achieve maximum torque converter stall for quicker and more consistent reaction and 60 ft. times. They work like this: When the trans-brake is engaged, the vehicle can roll neither forward nor backward, and as you press on the accelerator, the engine can rev as high as the torque converter stall. Once the brake is released, power is immediately transferred to the rear tires, with less parts breakage than with a manual transmission.

Whether you need stock, stamped, or heavy-duty, TCI forged flexplates are your performance solution. TCI offers popular Chrysler, Ford, and Chevy applications. Their forged selection for Chrysler includes special counterbalanced flexplates for neutral balance torque converters in cast crank applications that came with a counterbalanced torque converter. For Ford applications, TCI offers OEM-style small block plates built to precise standards with extra-thick welds to retain starter ring gear, and they are precision-balanced. Their Chevy stamped flexplates are built thicker than stock from high-tensile strength materials with extra welding to help retain the starter ring gear, and to withstand the stress of high-rpm engines and high-stall converters. For high performance, buzzing around at high rpm requires the confidence of TCI forged flexplates.

All piston engines produce crankshaft torsional vibration. TCI Rattler torsional vibration absorbers counteract those vibrations by using internal rollers that automatically offset the twisting forces and eliminate the root cause of torsional vibration. They are effective for the entire RPM range and extend crankshaft and bearing life while also increasing valvetrain stability. Their design does not utilize viscous fluids and they are lighter than most dampers of the same size and material construction. Rattler vibration absorbers feature steel rollers that fit loosely into a specific number of holes. By using an exact, patented, mathematical relationship, the rollers roll forward during the compression stroke and backward during the power stroke to keep engine speed variation and vibration to a minimum. The rollers are actually centrifugal pendulums that store and release energy back into the crankshaft rather than converting it to heat energy as dampers do. They are not frequency specific, but are based on the number of cylinders or the events per revolution so they are practical for street use, as well as track and drag strip use. Features include: * Standard bolt patterns * Available for internally and externally balanced engines * Etched integral timing marks can't move relative to the crankshaft * Maintains maximum effectiveness at all engine speeds * Virtually no maintenance required * No fluids, elastomers, or friction materials * No pulley or crank trigger shims required * CNC-machined to exact tolerances * SFI 18.1 certified
