VEGE has honed its remanufactured torque converter operation to optimize a steady outflow of a variety of products by using and adopting standard operating procedures to supply automotive, high-performance, heavy-duty, and industrial converters. VEGE torque converters incorporate the necessary upgrades to reduce failures. Areas that are known to fail such as pump and turbine blades are reset and re-enforced. The stators are completely disassembled and reloaded with new rollers and springs. Turbine hubs that have a high failure rate are replaced with billet steel hubs. Needle bearings are replaced with new ones and in most cases upgraded to heavy duty standards. VEGE torque converters are super balanced twice! Using state of the art Hines balancers all VEGE torque converters are checked for balance during the set up and tack and after final weld. This makes for a better dynamic running torque converter.

Hays heavy-duty flexplates for high performance and competition engines are constructed from a thicker-than-stock steel plate. This enables them to withstand the stress of high-stall torque converters and high-rpm engines. While factory stock plates tend to crack around the crankshaft hub when punished under high-torque and rpm conditions, the thicker Hays flexplates can handle the force. These heavy-duty flexplates are supplied with a ring gear that is securely welded in place. All Hays heavy-duty flexplates are zinc-dichromate plated to resist corrosion and SFI-certified under specification 29.1.
