Summit Racing™ Epoxy Primer is part of a user-friendly 2-component system, free of lead chromate and isocyanates. This epoxy provides excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance, dries quickly, and maintains good color holdout. It provides an exceptionally strong and durable foundation for complete and/or partial refinishing work. The primer can be applied directly over properly prepared steel, aluminum, factory finishes, fiberglass, body fillers, and other substrates. Unlike most epoxies, our primer won't gum up when sanded after about 2-3 days. It mixes 1:1 with an epoxy catalyst (sold separately), with no induction time needed.

When combined with the primer, it provides great adhesion, corrosion resistance, color holdout, and drying time. Unlike many 2-part primer-sealers, it's easy to sand after 2 to 3 days. The epoxy is also free of lead, chromate, and isocyanates. Get it done right the first time with an assist from Summit Racing™ Epoxy Primer Catalyst, available in quarts and gallons. Proper setup requires equal quantities of primer and catalyst. Summit Racing Single-Stage Urethane Paint System meets National Rule VOC emissions standards.
