Factor 55 Tree Saver Straps
Applications vary from easily attaching to vehicles that are not equipped with recovery points, to using your winch and Tree Saver strap to attach to the closest recovery point or nearest tree. The flat shape of the straps prevents them from rolling and twisting when attached to tubular shapes like bumper stingers, steering components, and nerf bars. Even polyester webbing materials retain a small amount of material stretch, and since the total energy stored is a function of the percent of stretch and the overall length of the strap, Factor55 has designed each strap to be the perfect length to wrap around a tree and still retain the necessary webbing overlap and stitch count for the rated loads. The overall length of the Tree Saver Strap is 8 ft., and this is reduced to only 4 ft. long when used in the common basket configuration. Factor 55 Load Distribution Plates
Factor 55 load distribution plates offer a safe collection point for many winching applications, preventing the gathering of multiple loads on a single shackle. Precision machined from 6000 Series military-grade aluminum, these rigging plates are given a military specification hard anodized finish (Mil-A-8625 F Type III Gray) and are laser engraved with an angle scale for sling multiplier estimates. Factor 55 Standard Duty Tow Straps
Factor 55 Standard Duty tow straps are designed for pulling or towing vehicles. Tow straps should not be confused with "Dynamic" recovery straps like "Snatch" straps or Kinetic recovery ropes. Dynamic straps are designed to store large amounts of kinetic energy in the stretch of the rope, while tow straps do not store this quantity of energy. These 2 in. wide double-ply 30 ft. long straps are made of a low-stretch 100 percent polyester and allow for little to no stretch, so vehicles can be towed for greater distances than Dynamic nylon straps. Because towing a vehicle often results in the tow strap making contact to the ground, the abraded low-energy storage tow strap will not recoil as severely if a strap failure occurs. To reach a higher minimum breaking strength of 31,000 lbs., Factor 55 doubled the ply, stitched it the entire length, and wrapped the reinforced eyes with a durable Cordura sleeve.
