A combination of fiberglass and an aluminized layer of reflective foil, Reflect-A-Cool heat shields are ideal for firewalls, marine engine bays, RV "dog house" or in the tub of a racecar where typical mechanical fasteners cannot be used. Reflect-A-Cool will reflect up to 1,000 degrees F and will protect against a direct continuous temperature of 400 degrees F. They offer superior protection against radiant heat, a self-adhesive application for easy installation, and can be easily trimmed and cut to fit--virtually no clearance needed.

One side protects from direct heat sources up to 1,000 degrees F, while the reverse aluminized side protects against radiant heat sources up to 2,000 degrees F. DEI air tube cover kits are designed to prevent air tubes from becoming heat sinks. Made of heat-treated fiberglass with a reflective coating, the air tube covers will reflect heat away from the air tube and allow cooler air to be introduced into the intake for a denser air/fuel charge. They can be installed/removed in seconds without the use of tools by a full-length hook-and-loop closure system. DEI air tube covers are available in a 36 in. long x 14 in. wide that can easily be cut to size for smaller applications.

This exhaust wrap combines the high-heat tolerance of DEI's proprietary LR fiber technology with a unique rivet-based clamp shield design to improve heat dissipation and cooling. Glass fiber shields can begin to fail at 900 degrees F, with the Mylar outer material cracking and flaking off. DEI's titanium pipe shield provides heat protection up to 1,350 degrees F. LR fiber is a two-ply material. The outer layer is made from lava rock pulverized and stranded into a proprietary, tightly woven weave for durability and strength. They have a maximum temperature rating of 1,800 degrees F (Fahrenheit) with a continuous rating of 1,382 degrees F.
