Sonnax heavy-duty remanufactured valve bodies are built to overcome chronic shift and converter clutch apply complaints. It provides firmer shifts and a moderately increased pressure curve to improve performance, especially in truck and towing applications. Numerous Sonnax valve upgrades are included to restore hydraulic clearances that lead to shift complaints, clutch distress, converter complaints and codes, solenoid issues and pressure problems. Line pressure rise has been moderately increased to overcome shift complaints, delayed engagements, and to increase holding power to the clutches. To guarantee the highest level of operational performance, this remanufactured valve body is tested on state-of-the art equipment to verify that solenoid feed, clutch, converter, and line pressures match or exceed OE specifications. Transmission valve bodies only last so long. When it's time for replacement, you can spend extra green and get new, or buy Sonnax remanufactured valve bodies. To eliminate separator plate cracking or cross-leaking, Sonnax adds a 2-3 accumulator support plate before remanufacturing. Each core's disassembled, cleaned, updated, tested, and parts are replaced as necessary. Sonnax universal remanufactured valve bodies have been uniquely designed to fit a variety of '99-later Chrysler applications, regardless of OE checkball or solenoid configuration. The convenience of stocking one SKU number for various applications saves time, money and interchangeability confusion. The channel casting has been resurfaced to SAE recommended flatness and surface finish. The seasoned casting warpage is now eliminated, removing cross-leaks and manufacturing burrs that resulted in clutch distress and shift complaints. A new separator plate is also installed, along with gaskets, to seal the critical surfaces between the valve body and channel casting. Heavy-duty/high performance accumulator pistons with dual-guide seals are installed to prevent piston-to-bore scuffing and restore clutch pressures due to leakage. In certain applications there is no way to pilot a reamer to repair a worn valve body, forcing rebuilders to purchase new ones. This patented self-aligning fixture with specially designed tool kits allows these valve bodies to be repaired. The fixture provides an external rigid pilot bore for the reamer and guide pin. The self-aligning feature allows the fixture to be used on multiple valve bodies and valve bores. The fixture base is large enough to provide ample support for the valve body. Various transmissions locate some valve bores in the pump body rather than the valve body. These larger pump bodies do not readily fit onto the standard VB-FIX base plate. Sonnax offers an oversized pump base plate, VB-06, that allows large passenger vehicle pump bodies to be easily mounted and clamped to the VB-FIX for repair.
