AEV Conversions Fuel Caddies

AEV fuel caddies are made of tough cross-link polyethylene, the same materials as many OE factory fuel tanks. The ingenious design of AEV's fuel caddies seamlessly integrates with their tire carrier and takes full advantage of the unused space both inside the wheel of the spare tire and just behind it. The result is 10.2-gallons of secure and nearly invisible fuel storage. The high mounting position isolates the fuel caddies from trail impacts, which makes them ideally suited for gravity fed deployment into the main tank. In addition, a fully vented, OE-quality cap means radical changes in elevation are no problem—and fuel fill-ups are fast! ALC abrasive blasting components are available to replace blaster nozzles, hoses, and other pieces you need to keep the media flying. Sandblasting is an all-inclusive term for various media (metals, plastic, corn, walnut shell, crushed glass, etc.) used in power blasting. And while this process does an excellent job of cleaning paint and rust off steel parts, all of the rough material being pushed at high pressures is hard on the equipment. Glide Guard comes powdercoated in a matte black finish with counter-sunk compressor and tank mounting holes for protection. Once the required aFe left side exit exhaust system (sold separately) is installed, the skid plate mounts neatly in the former factory muffler location—tucking your air compressor and tank as high as possible (air compressor and tank not included). The Glide Guard is fabricated from 3/16 in. thick steel to withstand extreme off-road conditions. This system bolts in, utilizing factory locations and an additional four drilled holes with heavy-duty nut plates for installation.
