Computech vacuum pressure monitor kits allow you to measure pressures from -14.7 to +30 in. of mercury. With calibration values available for inches of mercury (inHg) or pounds per square inch (psi), they work great for low-range pressures that have a tendency to go into a vacuum state, such as boost pressure. Computech vacuum pressure monitor kits include a stainless steel pressure transducer and a 15 ft. extension cable. They are compatible with most gases and fluids, including gasoline, methanol, and oil.

For your data recorder to be able to monitor an analog channel it must receive a signal that it can recognize. The Racepak Module PT2 convert the analog parameters to a standard 0-5 volt signal required by the recorder. The transducer module (combination sensor and signal conditioning modules) provides direct connection to the measured parameter, such as fuel or oil pressure. The signal conditioning module allows the connection of remote sensors, such as thermocouples or position sensors, to the data recorder.

Racepak's Vehicle Network (V-Net) is a "smart data" transfer network able to transmit multiple signals from sensors over a single cable. The key to the V-Net system is the modular connectors that attach each of the devices to the main cable. For a function or component to be monitored on the V-Net, the signal from that device must pass through a sensor and its module (essentially a miniature computer) that identifies and retrieves only the proper incoming signals and allows other signals to pass through. The sensor measures the input from the function or device (i.e. rpm, pressure, temperature, etc.), while the module converts the signal so it can be transmitted over the V-Net. Racepak analog pre-programmed V-Net modules with sensors are programmed to collect specific data and are ready for plug-and-play installation on the V-Net cable.
