LS Classic Series Gen IV LS Lifter Valley Plates
LS Classic Series Gen IV LS lifter valley plates are precision CNC-machined from 0.375 in. thick billet aluminum and replace the stock cast aluminum 11-bolt valley pans on late model Chevy Gen IV LS engines. The plates are available with an oil fill tube and breather cap to get that vintage look of a 1950's, 60's, or 70's car or truck, or with a high-efficiency breather assembly and port for superior crankcase ventilation. Integral O-ring bosses on the bottom side of the valley plates block off the displacement on demand passages. Summit Racing™ Pro Hemi automotive camshafts are easy on the valvetrain and stable at high rpms. They work well with superchargers and nitrous, and will require springs, a tune, phaser limiter, and an MDS (multi-displacement system) delete. The smaller cams in this group have a noticeable lope and good power across the range, while the larger cams have a serious lope with strong top-end. Choose the one that best fits your purpose. Notes: * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 1 has a noticeable lope and works great in 5.7L as a daily driver. It makes good power through the range, and a tune and phaser limiter are required. A free flowing aftermarket exhaust is recommended. * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 2 has a mild lope and works great in a daily driver. It makes good power through the range, and a tune and phaser limiter are required. A free flowing aftermarket exhaust is recommended. * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 3 has a steady lope and is about the biggest cam to used in a daily driver. It makes great midrange and has good top end. Clevite P-Series Main Bearings
Clevite P-Series main bearings are the oldest members of the Clevite 77 bearing family and are intended for high-revving engines. To compensate for the high-load factors and distortion in these engines, these bearings have higher eccentricity and a high crush factor. P-Series bearings are constructed of tri-metal cast copper lead. They have a steel back for support, a cast copper lead lining to withstand the loads of engine operation, and an electroplated babbit overlay on the running surface to provide searing surface qualities. In addition, the oil grooves on most applications extend all the way around both halves for better oiling. Clevite P-Series main bearings are an ideal design, producing a degree of conformability, embedability, slipperiness, and fatigue resistance, not found in original equipment and competitive bimetal bearings.
