This ensures maximum performance and gives you the idle you are looking for. The lobes are designed for stability at high rpm with the spring pressures found in quality .600 and .670 in. spring packs. Careful design guarantees the cams can be installed with minimal difficulty. Although piston to valve clearance should always be verified, the Stage 2 and 3 cams often allow for additional cylinder head milling. The Stage 4 cams often require no changes but can be degreed slightly different as needed. Melling M-Select Class 1 camshafts are part of their full line of high performance camshafts graded from Class 1 to Class 4. Class 1 camshafts have durations of 200 to 215 degrees at .050 in. lift. They feature good idle quality with strong low-rpm torque and midrange performance. These cams will work well with stock or slightly modified engines with either manual or automatic transmissions. M-Select Class 1 camshafts may have lower vacuum than OE camshafts.

Having a cam with attitude doesn't mean it has to be a dog at low rpm. We've tuned each of the four valve events to maximize power and torque in the range you will be running in. You CAN have your cake and eat it too. Summit Racing's™ affordable E303 Plus, B303 Plus, and F303 Plus are designed to tune easily and have the idle you're looking for. We've applied the latest lobe technology, and the valve events have been tweaked for modern intake manifolds and cylinder heads. The Pro SBF lineup ranges from a 204-duration daily driver tow cam to a 252 duration 8k rpm barn-burner.
