Rein Automotive offers OE-quality problem solver engine oil cooler replacement kits that cover all Mercedes OM642 engines, which can suffer from oil leaks as described in Mercedes Service Bulletin LI18.30-P-055434. The leaks may have led to "Check Oil Level" or "Oil Level Low" messages on the vehicle instrument cluster, decreased oil level measurements, oil puddles, or stains underneath the vehicle. The original equipment, as well as this Rein solution, uses upgraded Viton® oil cooler seals to combat this issue when a leaking oil cooler makes a complete upgrade the sustainable solution.
