They have an 11 in. electric fan mounted directly to them, enclosed in shrouding that ensures maximum airflow through the cooler core, to deliver maximum cooling. Because they're self-contained, these coolers do not have to be situated in direct airflow. So, you can mount them in just about any remote location to cool engine oil, transmission fluid, or differential lube.
