The X-braces are powdercoated to resist the elements and provide long-lasting rigidity to your undercarriage. These units distribute loads more efficiently between your rear shocks, springs and the chassis—providing increased handling and cornering, while curbing rattles and squeaks. Most—but not all—models require a rear seat delete, and you can secure the braces easily with either a bolt-on or welded installation. Detroit Speed weld-on subframe connectors join your front subframe and rear frame rails to increase your car's stiffness. These uniquely designed DSE connectors are fabricated from thick-wall rectangular steel tubing. They are bent and TIG-welded in a fixture for accuracy and repeatability. Unlike others, these DSE subframe connectors are barely visible from underneath the car, offering maximum ground clearance. Plus, they won't interfere with seat attachment hardware or the installation and removal of the rear leaf spring pocket. And, your molded factory carpet will still fit over the subframe connectors. Detroit Speed weld-on subframe connectors can be installed on convertibles and are supplied with templates, pictures, and detailed instructions for installation.

The more improvements you do to the vehicle, the more demands are put on the body. These Global West subframe connectors provide additional support to increase the integrity of the chassis. They are a must for any performance application. They're built out of round 1 5/8 in. x .125 in. wall roll cage tubing. The construction attaches to the factory support rails located directly under the front seats. The rear portion of the subframe attaches to the rear leaf spring mount and frame rail. Additional gussets are included in the kit, which add support to the rear spring mount. Welding is required for installation.
