Summit Racing™ 12 V electric vacuum pumps utilize a rotary vane style pump with an enlarged diaphragm to ensure maximum suction while remaining nearly dead-quiet and vibration-free. Utilizing a Manifold Absolute Vacuum/Pressure (MAVP) sensor eliminates the need for old-school vacuum switches and relays. Maintain your brake vacuum level with one of these Summit Racing™ vacuum pump and reservoir kits. They're self-contained units that require no wiring of the relays or switches. Simply connect the positive/negative power—and the units will regulate the vacuum level itself. The vacuum pumps are designed to activate when vacuum drops below 15 in. and increase the brake vacuum level to 20 in. These pumps are made for vehicles using engine combinations that provide little or no manifold vacuum required for braking. They can be mounted in any position. The included vacuum reservoirs will allow you enough extra vacuum for stopping and to power any other accessories that require a vacuum source. This ensures maximum performance and gives you the idle you are looking for. The lobes are designed for stability at high rpm with the spring pressures found in quality .600 and .670 in. spring packs. Careful design guarantees the cams can be installed with minimal difficulty. Although piston to valve clearance should always be verified, the Stage 2 and 3 cams often allow for additional cylinder head milling. The Stage 4 cams often require no changes but can be degreed slightly different as needed. We've taken our original Ready-to-Run billet distributors and upped the ante with our Summit Racing™ Digital RTR (Ready-to-Run) Plus billet distributors. They now feature a digital module with a 7.5 amp rated dwell control circuit for maximum energy output. They deliver 400 volts and 125mJ of spark energy to the coil and upwards of 50,000 volts from the coil to the spark plugs. We've also added a single-stage rev limiter with a simple "tap to ground" process of the tachometer lead attached to the module to set the limiter. The tachometer dual purpose lead also produces a 25 percent duty cycle, square wave signal, so it can be used with multifunction tachometers and most popular aftermarket EFI systems. Another bonus feature of our digital technology is a fully automatic start retard. This built-in feature provides 4 degrees of timing retard during cranking and is fully dialed out by 300 rpm. This gives you easier and quicker hot restarts while lowering the initial start load on the starter and electrical system. With all these upgraded features, you're assured of peak output throughout all RPM ranges, quicker hot starts, EFI capability and the reliability of digital technology.
